    Overview:

    The VALOR Safer Together Frontline Officer Workshop is a highly interactive course that provides actionable skills and strategies to enhance safety and wellness and promote a healthy community climate by building trust, one interaction at a time.

     

    Morning Session Topics:

    · Remember why you serve.

    · Overcome challenging perceptions.

    · Recognize how community climate impacts you and your family.

     

    Afternoon Session Topics:

    · Change community perceptions with value-added and plus-one interactions.

    · Take charge of your future.

     

    Training will be held Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., PT, with a one-hour break for lunch (on your own).

     

    Certificate of attendance for 8 hours available

     

    This continuing education activity is approved by the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST) and deemed valid for the purpose of In-Service training credits with all participating states within the United States.

No. This training is funded by BJA and is free to any sworn law enforcement officer. However, travel, lodging, and per diem costs are the responsibility of the attendee or the attendee’s agency.
Yes. Depending on the location of the training and the state’s law enforcement training authority, state law enforcement credit may be available.
This training is strictly classroom-based. Appropriate dress is business casual or uniform, if required by your agency.
While this training is primarily for state, local, and tribal officers, federal law enforcement officers may be admitted on a space-available basis.
